How We Got Our Start
Like most family run businesses in the United States, the beginning of Five Star Valet started with the dreams of one person. That person was Michael Munao.
As he was working his way through college, Michael was connected to a leader involved in the Chicago valet business. After graduating with his Bachelor’s degree in business, Michael took what he had learned in college and under his mentor to form his own valet business.
What helped Michael’s business stand out among other valet companies, were his ethics for hard work, professionalism, efficiency and treating each client like family. Not only was this reflected in clients that would utilize Five Star Valet, but it was also apparent with the company’s professional valets.
As a team, it was never about competing against other family-owned companies involved in the business of valet parking. Instead, it has always been about treating clients and team members as if they were your own family members.
Over the years, Michael has grown to become a well-respected valet company owner throughout the city of Chicago and the communities surrounding it. In the words of Munao himself, “I truly believe in karma! I run my life and company within the premise of what goes around comes around.”
With Michael’s close ties to his heritage and fond respect for his family, he lives his life and operates his business through life lessons.
His grandfather told him many years ago: “You are only as good as your last business day.” By running the business with that wisdom, it’s always been understood Five Star Valet only has one shot to make an everlasting impression.
